Abstract: "In this paper the Curriculum 2004/2014 Innovation School of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Sciences and Technology National University of Santiago del Estero is analyzed. To do a literature review about paradigms, curriculum and education in engineering is performed and compared to the 2004 curriculum, and innovation 2014. This curriculum is a significant advance over previous plans. Its design meets current regulations regarding engineering careers. The main problem is detected in this analysis is that it is unclear as proposed would achieve complete profile civil engineer. The challenge presented is How to achieve a balanced curriculum that is consistent in practice with their theoretical foundations, the demands of society and the human and material resources? Periodic review of the curriculum is necessary: internal and external consistency. An integration strategy proposed by the generation of spaces for reflection and continuous dialogue and implementation of curricular areas with theoretical - practical activities."
